Packaging Associate
Job Summary:
The Director, Diversity & Inclusion serves as the primary subject matter expert and architect of a comprehensive Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) strategy across the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. The Director will oversee the development and implementation of an organization-wide D&I initiative. The Foundation has a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, and as a result has integrated D&I strategies into the Foundation’s overarching business goals, core values, and employee core competencies. The Director will report directly to the Vice President, Human Resources and engage with the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer, President/Chief Executive Officer, and the National Board of Trustees.
Overall Duties/Responsibilities:
Planning & Oversight
Reviews current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support or hinder Foundation-wide D&I goals
Actively researches, develops, recommends, and executes creative strategies to support the Foundation’s D&I strategy pillar activities
Acts as a spokesperson for the D&I program inclusive of delivering presentations and facilitating discussion at staff and leadership team meetings
Designs the D&I content that will be leveraged for the learning and development of staff across the Foundation
Integrates D&I content within a learning management system.
Collects and analyzes statistical data to evaluate the employee demographics in accordance with strategy pillar goals, action plans, and tactics
Monitors progress of D&I strategy which includes annual review of action plans, staff surveys, and other evaluation strategies identified over time
Maintains knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices
Performs other related duties as assigned
Stakeholder Management
Has overall responsibility of the D&I program and provides oversight of and management to the Strategy Pillar Teams (Demographic Parity, Culture of D&I, and Health Access & Education) and the Inclusion Council
Works with the strategy pillar teams to assess company efforts on diversity programs, establish best practices, and identify programs to remove barriers that impact staff retention and advancement
Partner with Senior Director, Volunteer Engagement to develop programs that will aid with diversity volunteer recruitment
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
Six years of Human Resources or related experience preferred
Three years specializing in diversity programs requir
Excel at building strong working relationships with multidisciplinary groups
